Marie A. Monteleone is a Senior Photo Editor at Bloomberg News, where she curates and commissions compelling visual narratives for enterprise stories with a global reach. She has been instrumental in expanding and diversifying Bloomberg’s network of freelance photographers across the globe, championing a wide range of visual voices and perspectives. With a career spanning leading media organizations, including ABC News, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, The New York Post, and W Magazine, Ms. Monteleone brings a keen editorial eye and a deep understanding of photography’s cultural and journalistic impact.
An advocate for contemporary photography, Ms. Monteleone is a sought-after speaker and mentor, having been invited to institutions and festivals such as Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, the International Center of Photography, Parsons School of Design, Leica Gallery New York, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Women Photograph Workshop, Foto Festival Manzana 1, Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay, and the Eddie Adams Workshop.
Her curatorial and evaluative expertise is recognized globally, with jury appointments for Cortona On The Move & BarTur Grant , World Press Photo, International Photography Awards, World Press Photo 6x6 Global Talent Program, Diversify Photo, the Women Photograph x Getty Grant, and Photoville’s The Fence. She has also participated in portfolio reviews for some of the most respected organizations in the field, such as the Bronx Documentary Center, The New York Portfolio Review, World Press Photo, Cortona on the Move international photo festival, Women Photojournalists of Washington (WPOW), Hamburg Portfolio Review, Social Documentary Network (SDN), and Women Photograph, among many others.
